Reading is a significant skill not only to
be successful in lessons or to learn new things but also as Husna indicated in
his article, it provides a wider perspective and critical thinking skills. “To
be able to have a wider perspective and empower their cognitive skills,
students should be motivated to become lifelong readers and relate their
reading to their real world. Learning a lot of information through extensive
reading and discussing it with others will foster their intellectual growth.”
(Husna, 2019) Margaret Fuller also
indicated the importance of early childhood and lifelong reading in this
quotation “Today is a reader, tomorrow is a leader.”
